Gold shouldn't have to wait for an occasion
I've always loved jewellery — not because of trends, but because of the stories, craftsmanship and memories it carries.
After studying fashion at NIFT, completing my MBA at XLRI, and spending 12+ years across retail, product development, e-commerce and customer experience, I started noticing a gap in my own jewellery box.
A story from real life
Like many women, I had beautiful heirloom and occasion pieces that spent most of their time in a locker. They were often too heavy or elaborate for everyday life.
Yet everyday life is where so many of our meaningful moments happen — work milestones, family gatherings, festivals at home, coffee with friends and weekend celebrations.
After becoming a mother, I wanted jewellery that was comfortable, versatile and easy to wear without having to think about it.
Conversations with friends and colleagues revealed the same need: beautiful gold jewellery designed for real life, not just special occasions.
At the same time, I became increasingly conscious of how we think about value in jewellery. I wanted to create a brand focused on real gold, thoughtful design, craftsmanship and lasting value.
And that's where BeGolded began.
